Trey Kostra was born and raised in Akron, Ohio. He attended Akron Public Schools and graduated from Ellet High School. His love for dancing started when he was only two years old. He was initially afraid, then intrigued when he first saw the music video, “Scream” by Michael Jackson and Janet Jackson. After watching the video and listening to the song countless times, he began to emulate the dance moves and become one with the rhythm and beat of the music. His family, seeing the rising interest in his love of Scream, purchased Michael Jackson music, videos and books to nurture his growing love for dancing.
Dancing gives Trey a rush like no other. He loses himself in the beat, the lyrics, and the overall feel. Trey is self taught; focusing solely on hip hop. Trey has danced at Millennium Dance Complex amongst other studios in Los Angeles for two years. He traveled back to Akron, where he taught private hip hop dance classes at TK Entertainment: Born To Dance. Additionally, Trey has posted and streamed over 30 individual and group dance videos on social media and YouTube.
Trey’s passion is like no other when it comes to dance. His love of dance, coupled with growing that desire for others is his driving force. His love for dance is an understatement.
